J.R. Newman Park
On Twin Falls Drive is the 11 acre J.R. Newman Park. You’ll find ample playground equipment for the little ones, a sprinkler system that’s popular during the summer months and many shady places to enjoy a picnic or just an afternoon under the sun. There’s a basketball court for a quick pick up game. Sidewalk art is encouraged!
Shepherds Glen Park
Shepherds Glen Park on Shepherds Hill Drive is popular with walkers and runners. There are several well marked walking trails throughout this beautiful 14 acre park. There are also practice fields to kick or throw a ball around.
Ballpark Plaza
Ballpark Plaza is a tiny neighborhood park located near the Dr. Pepper/Seven Up Ballpark. Enjoy a hot dog at one of the benches set up.
Beavers Bend Park
On Legacy Drive is Beavers Bend Park is 26 acres of trails, and grass to run around in. There’s a great playground as well as plenty of picnic areas. Popular with bikers because of the paved trails, you can enjoy a quick ride while taking in the natural wetlands scenery of Texas.
B.F. Phillips Community Park
If you are part of or know someone on the youth baseball and softball teams you will find yourself at B.F. Phillips community Park quite a bit. Located on 4th Army Memorial, this park is home to several baseball and softball fields as well as other sports fields and courts. With a full concessions stand, you can enjoy a game and a snack on almost every weekend.
Bi-Centennial Park
The Bi-Centennial Park on Sunset Drive is a smaller park that’s great for sports enthusiasts. With an In-Line Hockey Court, two volleyball courts and plenty of room for a game of tag, you can enjoy an afternoon outside. There are BBQ grills available for picnics in the park.
